Rancho Cucamonga is the largest city in the legislative district that Redlands Mayor Gilbreath, seeks to represent in the State Assembly.
"Pat Gilbreath has the background, education and experience that make her the best candidate in the race for the 63rd Assembly District," stated Councilmember Diane Williams. "We need change in Sacramento and Pat is the one who can bring about real change. As a recently retired CPA, Pat has the skill sets we see too little of in Sacramento. Pat knows fiscal management and I know she will hit the ground running once she is elected.
"Having worked with Pat Gilbreath on Inland Empire regional boards and committees, I know she will represent our district with fairness and equity," continued Williams. "She will fight against higher taxes and work to bring jobs back to California.
"I applaud her stand on supporting a part-time legislature. The job of our representatives is to solve the budget problem, and until they do that they shouldn't be spending time on often frivolous bills or jet setting around the world on 'fact-finding trips', " said Williams.
Concluding her statement, Diane Williams proclaimed "Pat Gilbreath is not a career politician, but a public servant who has served her city of Redlands with the highest level of integrity and professionalism."
“Councilmember Diane Williams has been a tremendous public servant for her city, and she knows that the Inland Valley’s next state assembly member must be committed to straightening out the fiscal mess in Sacramento,” stated Pat Gilbreath. “I am grateful to have earned her support, and I look forward to working with her to bring back jobs to our region and accomplishing real conservative change.”
Longtime Redlands small businessperson Pat Gilbreath is a conservative Republican candidate standing in the June 2010 Republican Party primary for the 63rd District, which includes all or portions of the cities and communities of Redlands, Highland, Yucaipa, and several other Inland Empire locations. Gilbreath has served on the Redlands City Council since 1993 and currently serves as mayor. Incumbent GOP Assemblyman Bill Emmerson (R-Redlands) is vacating the seat due to term limits.
