12/22/2009 - Salvation Army Holding New Shelter Grand Opening
San Bernardino, CA - Grand Opening for The Salvation Army¹s newly completed Hospitality House emergency family shelter, which it has undergone a complete remodel.
WHERE: 925 W. Tenth St., San Bernardino, Calif.
WHO: San Bernardino Corps Commanders Capt. Stephen Ball and Capt. Nancy Ball, Shelter Director Roosevelt Carroll, Salvation Army volunteers, selected new shelter residents
WHEN: Friday, Jan. 15 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
ABOUT: The Salvation Army San Bernardino Corps office serves Bloomington, Colton, San Bernardino, Highland, Grand Terrace, Muscoy and the mountain communities.
VISUALS: Tours of all portions of the newly completed shelter including rooms for families. These include a kitchen three times as large as at the Salvation Army¹s current location, a colorful media center and computer lab, and 21 bedrooms. The selected residents will be moving in during the grand opening.
