BLOOMINGTON, CA— Dana Thomas, president of Index Fresh, announced today the appointment of Sarah Crum to the newly created position of Director of Operations. “As Director of Operations, Sarah will oversee all operations at the Bloomington plant,” stated Index Fresh President, Dana Thomas.
Sarah graduated from Cal Poly Pomona in 2002, with a B.S. in Food Marketing and Agri-business Management. Sarah joined the company following her graduation from Cal Poly Pomona in 2002. Since that time, Sarah has served the company most recently as Operations Coordinator.
“I have been fortunate to work on a variety of different projects and assignments at Index Fresh, allowing me to learn different perspectives of the business. I enjoy the fact that the company continually is growing through innovation, and I find that the company’s ethical foundation and the integrity provided by the leadership provides a benefit to all aspects of the business. I look forward to serving the company as Director of Operations.”
Crum’s job duties will include overseeing shipping, inventory, quality control, avocado preconditioning (ripening), food safety, employee safety, and the scheduling of special packs. She will serve in the management team headed by Giovanni Caveletto, Vice President of Operations, at the CA. facility located at 18184 Slover Ave. Bloomington.
