The Sentinel Day in the Moonridge Animal Park will be held Saturday June 20, 2009 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.  This is a fundraiser for the Zoo's relocation.  Previously the event was known as the Alpine Wildlife Celebration and renamed several years ago to pay tribute to the fan clubs of the actors of "The Sentinel" TV series.  Garett Maggart will be at the park to auction animals and autograph his pictures with the park’s animals.  The event is open to the public, featuring our popular Animal Adoption Auction.  Also delicious Bratwursts, Kielbasa, Linguica, and oversized hot dogs will be available with mouth watering grilled onions, grilled green peppers, and even grilled hot peppers!

After the Sentinel event, at 3:00 PM, at no additional cost, you can go on a feeding tour with an animal keeper and watch some of the animals eat dinner while hearing their personal stories.

Park admission is $9 for ages 11 - 59; $6 for ages 3-10 and seniors 60 plus, and free to children under 3. Members of the Friends of the Moonridge Zoo are admitted free. The Friends of the Moonridge Zoo was formed in 1989 as a non-profit public benefit corporation whose purpose is to support the Moonridge Animal Park through: (1) Educating the public regarding treatment, protection, and conservation of wildlife; (2) Recruiting and coordinating zoo volunteers; and (3) Fundraising.
