Inland Empire News

UPATED 5/8/08

Due to the overwhelming volume of submissions and high traffic we experiance, we changed our feed to an automated system. Over that last year and a half, we have posted more than 1000 press releases, events, and news, and we canno longer do the reviewing, editing, and posting manually.

There are now two ways to get your public information published on our feed.

1. Pay a one-time submission of $5.99(limited time) to be listed on InlandEmpire.us

2. Build your own Press Room with RSS feeds, which can automatically be submitted to InlandEmpire.US and other our network sites, powered by WebMediaWire.

Guidelines for Press Releases

The InlandEmpire.us receives many press releases every month. We cannot guarantee to run any particular item, but a few simple procedures can help ensure that your release gets to the right editors and increase your chances of getting coverage.

What Is A Press Release?
A good press release is a concise, complete description of an upcoming news event. A timely report of an event that has just occurred. A notification of important personnel or procedural changes in an organization. Or other news or feature tips.

What Is The Best Format?

  • Keep releases short.
  • Write clearly, addressing who, what, where, why and when in the first two paragraphs.
  • Make sure to include internet information such as email contact address and the domain name (www.inlandempire.us).
  • Identify the organization or individual sending the release and include the name and daytime phone number (with area code) of someone we can contact if we have questions.
  • Date the release and include whether the material is for immediate use or for release at a later date.
  • If the release is longer than one page, type "more" at the bottom of each page and identify following pages with either the subject of the release or the name of your organization.
  • Type "end" at the bottom of the last page.

How do I send in a press release or news tip?

We want to make it easy for you to get your news to us. We appreciate telephone calls with news tips, but when it comes to publicizing an event or community group, it’s better if you give us a typewritten notice in advance. Notices about community events, recreational sports teams, churches, club meetings and civic programs are run free of charge. Just provide a simple listing of the important information:

  • Event name
  • Time, date, day
  • Place
  • Contact name and telephone number to be printed in the paper
  • Description of the event (is it a fundraiser, speech, musical program?)
  • Full name of sponsoring group
  • Cost, if any. If the event is free, please indicate that.

Here are some of the most common reasons notices do not get into the InlandEmpire.Us:

  • Submitted too late
  • No telephone number or name to verify information
  • No Email to contact
