Sen. Dutton to Explain Prop's Economic Impact on the Inland Empire
(Ontario, CA) - Senator Bob Dutton is scheduled to speak on the project funding expected to follow the passing of Props 1A-1E. The senator will be talking to a group of civil engineers from the San Bernardino and Riverside Counties branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) on Friday, January 26. The branch's monthly luncheon will be held at the Double Tree Hotel in Ontario at 11:30am and is likely to draw a large number of engineers who want to know the immediate and long-term changes coming out of Props 1A-1E. Dutton, who sits on the budget and transportation and housing committees, is likely to shed some light on the money that is to be earmarked for infrastructure improvements, roads, drinking water, and other subjects directly affecting the Inland Empire's economy.
ASCE's recent release of California's Infrastructure Report Card revealed much needed improvements for traffic infrastructure, flood control, and water supply. Props 1A-1E, approved in the last election, have been marketed as "The One Plan to Rebuild California." With the report card fresh in their minds, civil engineers, of the Inland Empire are hoping for some more specific information concerning anticipated projects.
