Open Call for Auditions for "DAMN YANKEES" in Riverside
Riverside, Ca - Performance Riverside announces open call auditions for union and non-union actors for their upcoming musical production of Damn Yankees directed by Greg Hinrichsen, choreographed by John Vaughan, and musically directed by Scott T. Smith. Auditions will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2006, on the campus of Riverside City College. Actors must be 18 years of age or older.
Auditions for members of AEA are from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The contract is a Guest Artist contact at Tier II for four weeks. Dance/Movement Call is at 12:00 p.m. for Equity and Non-Equity. Non-Equity auditions for all begin at 12:00 p.m.
All roles are open; equity contracts and performance stipends are available. For singing auditions, please prepare 16-bars of a number and bring sheet music in the correct key. Equity actors will be allowed to sing the entire song. Piano accompaniment will be provided for all. Dancers should dress in dance attire and character heels.
All persons who audition must bring a resume, headshot and a biography with them. Come prepared to list any conflicts you have with the rehearsal schedule. Being in this production requires a commitment of approximately 160 hours or rehearsals and performances.
Directions to Huntley Gym: To enter the lower level of the Riverside Community College campus, exit the 91 Freeway at 14th street, and follow Lime/Olivewood Street to the intersection of Ramona Avenue and Olivewood. Turn into the campus from Ramona. Huntley Gym Dance Studio will be on your right after the Pilates Studio. Go first to register in Classroom C6 of the portables in Lovekin Field (across the street from Huntley Gym) and you will be escorted into the Dance Studio for auditions.
If you use the 60 freeway east or west, take the Market Street exit into Riverside. You will cross 14th Street, and it will become Magnolia Avenue. Turn left on Ramona Avenue. Go to the bottom of the hill and turn left into the campus. Come into the lower level of the campus and park near the portables on the left. Find classroom C6 for check in.
