The Inland Empire, San Bernardino & Riverside California

The Inland Empire - Southern California's Backyard

Summer Activities for Kids

On the off chance that a few hundred golf courses don't interest you, we've compiled an index of kid-friendly entertainment options in the Inland Empire. You'll find amusement parks (some with waterslides, some with rollercoasters, and several with miniature golf), 24 different skate parks, and links to a variety of hiking trails and camps. If oil, rubber, and speed (not the drug) are your thing, get your racing fix at the California Speedway in Fontana or the Perris Raceway at Lake Perris. Climb rocks indoors or outdoors, spend the day at one of several lakes, or go ice skating in Riverside – sorry, Blue Jay is closed for repairs. Don't be scared off by our list of museums – we've chosen ones that feature cool animals, dinosaur bones, and electric guitars, rather than the usual, boring adult stuff. Oh, and if you don't have an X-Box at home, be sure to pay a visit to Gameworks at Ontario Mills. (Don't worry, the place is better than the website.)
